Dubai Expo 2020 celebrates UAE National Day

Expo 2020 Dubai staff, representing more than 70 nationalities, celebrated the upcoming 48th UAE National Day on Thursday.

UAE’s 48th National Day is set to be held on December 2. Several festivals, events and cultural programmes are already underway for the big day. Apart from concerts by regional stars, fireworks, shows and family-oriented activities, the National Day celebrations will cover aspects of the UAE’s evolution over the years and showcase the Emirati lifestyle, hospitality, heritage and culture.

At Dubai Expo 2020, the celebrations began with the UAE National Anthem, followed by a live talk on Emirati culture by a guest speaker from the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding. Attendees enjoyed Emirati cuisine from live cooking stations and were able to take a close look at traditional UAE practices such as pottery, falconry, sadu weaving and ayala dancers.
